What is Angelfood Ministries?

Angel Food Ministries is a non-profit, non-denominational organization dedicated to providing grocery relief and financial support to communities throughout the United States. The program began in 1994 with 34 families in Monroe, Georgia (between Atlanta and Athens), and has grown to serve thousands of families every month across 17 states. Angel Food Ministries crosses denominational lines and has spread the good news of the gospel of Christ through salvation tracts that are placed in each food order.

How does the program work?

Every month the church will have certain days that people can come in and order boxes of food. Each box of food is only $30. Boxes can be paid for by cash, money order or food stamps (EBT). On distribution day, the people that ordered food will come up to the church and pick up their boxes of food. There is not a limit as to the number of boxes that each person can order. Ross Christian Church will not gain or lose money from selling food. We act only as a distribution agency. (* taxes may apply in some states).

You can order in person to pay by cash, money order or Food Stamp Card.
We DO NOT accept personal checks.

*If ordering in person with cash, please bring exact change. We do not have funding available to make change for Angel Food orders.

Who is eligible to participate?

Anyone can participate. There are no sign up forms or eligibility requirements.

How do I sign up?

Every month there will be several sign up days. The first day of ordering will always be the delivery day for the month before. The additional COMMUNITY order days will be:

• Tuesday mornings – 9am to 11am  (by appointment – call the church office @ 738-1512)
• Saturday mornings – (by appointment – call the church office @ 738-1512)

Where do I go?

Food will be picked up in the Family Life Center of Ross Christian Church. The Family Life Center is the large building attached to the church. The order days will be in the lobby at the front of the church.

**It is important to bring EXACT CHANGE when coming to place your order at the church. We do not have the ability to give change and do not keep any extra cash on hand.
