Luke has been married to his wife, Kathleen, for two years. He is a graduate of Cincinnati Christian University. He spent the last year completing a preaching internship with Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, Kentucky, one of the largest churches in the U.S. During this preaching internship, Luke did research for sermons and provided assistance to Dave Stone and Kyle Idleman. He also wrote weekly devotionals for The Outlook, a publication of Southeast that has a readership of over 70,000, he taught weekly Adult Bible Fellowship to young adults and cornerstone groups, as well as preached multiple times throughout the Louisville area.

In his time as the preaching intern at Southeast Christian Church, Luke Davidson has demonstrated God given leadership gifts as well very strong communication skills. He is a low-maintenance self-motivator who does his work as one called by God.

I think growing up as a pastor’s kid has given him a very realistic view of the different opinions and preferences that can be represented in a church. I think He would do very well in a multi-generational church. He has a rare ability to connect and relate exceedingly well to everyone he meets.

Also, because it is so vital in ministry, I would also want to include how impressed I am with his wife, Kathleen. She is an encouraging servant who loves God and loves her husband. I know they would be a great blessing to any church and staff.

During the interview process, as well as our time together over the last few weeks, meeting with the Elders, Deacons and MTL’s, one thing is very apparent; Luke and his wife Kathleen have a heart for God and a passion for reaching the lost. It shines through in everything they do.
